"The Dream is Now!"

Panelists: Dr. KC Morrison - MU professor of Political Science; Kelley Robinson – MU student and Youth Vote Organizer for Mid-Missouri for the Obama for America campaign; and Lyn Williams – Change Today, a local civic group that grew out of the Obama movement.

This semi-formal gala celebration with free refreshments and entertainment will feature the reenactment of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech performed by Dr. Clyde Ruffin and jazz music by students of the MU School of Music.

Join us as we remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., reflect upon the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement, and rejoice in the celebration of the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

This production is the story of four independent frontier women who escape racial violence of the post Civil War South in search of freedom. Sponsored by the Theatre Department and Directed by Clyde Ruffin.
